Resumen
One of the challenges in the field of pediatric infectology is how to make a potent antibiotic drug to arrive at the site of infection in active form and inadequate concentration throughout the time required for the drug to exercise its action. In addition, the antibiotic must not interfere with the host's natural defense mechanism, such as phagocytosis and must be cleared from the body once it has completed its task, since its long-term permanence increases the risk of toxicity. In this chapter, the experience of three clinical cases is presented.
