Resumen

Breast cancer is the most frequent neoplasia in women worldwide. Our research group has proposed a new technology focused on the selective ablation of breast tumors by Radiofrequency (RF) assisted with Magnetic Nanoprobes. The Nanoprobes require specific antigens overexpressed in breast cancer as potential targets. The aim of this study was to evaluate the relative expression of genes erbB-3 and tgfb1 by RT Q-PCR in breast cancer tissue from an animal model as potential Nanoprobe targets. Cancer tissue was evaluated in early and late stages in order to identify a differentiated relative expression that may be used as therapeutic targets for the nanoprobe. The findings indicate that protein Tgfb1 represents a potential target for the nanoprobe in early stages of breast cancer.
