Nuevos conceptos o nuevos relatos: la fragmentación urbana

En los últimos años, una buena parte de los estudios de la división social del espacio en Latinoamérica han usado el concepto de fragmentación urbana. Este artículo busca profundizar en los diferentes relatos de la teoría de la fragmentación: la urbana funcional, la fractura social y segregación fragmentada; y la físico material. La presente investigación concluye que el concepto de la fragmentación urbana aporta más como metarrelato académico y no como un concepto teórico positivista. In recent years, a large part of the studies of the social division of space in Latin America have used the concept of urban fragmentation. This article seeks to delve into the different accounts of the theory of fragmentation: the functional urban, social division and segregation fragmented, and physical materials. This research concludes that the concept of urban fragmentation as metanarrative brings more academic and not as a positivist theoretical concept.
