Ricardo Gómez Maturano (Federal District, 1978) Master of Science in the Specialty of Architecture and Engineer-Architectural from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional. Doctor in Urban Planning from the UNAM. He made stays at the Center for Sustainable Urban Development (CEDEUS) (Chile), at the Institute of Geography of the Catholic University of Chile and at the Faculty of Architecture of the Autonomous University of the State of Morelos.

The lines of research developed are geomatics, urban fragmentation, residential segregation and gentrification processes. He is a member of the National System of Researchers and research professor of the Postgraduate Studies and Research Section of the Higher School of Engineering and Architecture, Tecamachalco Unit of the IPN where he teaches the Master's and Doctorate in Sciences in Architecture and Urbanism.
