Abstract

The pandemic caused by Covid-19 showed the fragility of the informal sector and the need for effective public policies capable of combating the phenomenon of informality. Through the analysis of microdata from the National Survey of Occupation and Employment (ENOE), as well as of the commonly cited causes of the phenomenon of informality and of those programmes and actions in the country to combat it, is exposed that those located in informality are the most affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
