Abstract

A novel method is presented for adaptive canceling of sinusoidal disturbance. It uses a real coded evolutionary algorithm with fuzzy recombination for adjusting the parametric vector of an adaptive finite impulse response filter. For testing the algorithm we applied It to the problem of measurement environmental noise using an array of hydrophones towed by a vessel. We show detailed results at every point in the adaptive process using graphics. Comparative tests were performed varying the recombination method, ihe selection method.
