Abstract

Consider the closed-loop control system shown in Fig. 8.1. The open-loop transfer function G(s) is assumed to be given as the cascade connection of the controller Gc(s) and the plant Gp(s), i.e., G(s) = Gc(s)Gp(s). The system error is defined as e(t) = r(t) − c(t), where e(t) = ℒ− 1{E(s)}, r(t) = ℒ− 1{R(s)} and c(t) = ℒ− 1{C(s)}.
