N2 - By using Lagrange-Gordeyev's method in order to calculate the retarded and advanced electromagnetic fields, the Lorentz-Dirac equation is obtained. Since the electromagnetic radiation field is represented by an average between the retarded and the advanced fields, the mass renormalization is avoided. Landau-Lifshitz equation of motion for a spinless charged point particle is also derived.
