Resumen

This chapter studies the response of third-order optical nonlinearities in nanocrystals due to electronic interactions within matter from the irradiation of high-energy beams. Furthermore, the importance of nanocrystals in modulating the wavelength of the beam is described since it is due to the transmission capacity of the beam through the nanocrystal. Also, the response of third-order optical nonlinearities in nanostructures of various complex geometries and chemical compositions is analyzed. The relationship of the modification of the physicochemical properties is considered through the design of geometrically complex metallic nanostructures.
