Resumen

The behavior of iron is determined by its being present as true colloidal particles at the pH characteristic of the mixing zones of river and sea water at the mouth of the Razdol'naya R., the effects being dependent on the presence of organic matter. For sea water, the pH for the start of chromium (III) going over to the suspended state shifts toward the alkaline side (pH 7-8) by comparison with distilled water (pH 6). -from Journal summary
