Resumen

The analytical solution for the one-dimensional heat diffusion problem for a two-layer system, in the surface absorption model, is used to provide of a self-normalized photoacoustic methodology for thermal diffusivity measurements of transparent polymer foils. The implementation of this method involving linear fits requires one face of the sample to be opaque by means of a thin metal layer. Two different materials were examined using the proposed methodology: acetate and PVDF polymer foils. Good agreement with values reported in the literature was found.
