Resumen
In this work, the effects of temperature and dc magnetic field on resonant and non-resonant microwave absorption measurements at X-band (8.8-9.8 GHz), in the polycrystalline multiferroics Pb(Fe1/2Nb1/2)O3 (PFN), Pb(Fe1/2Ta1/2)O3 (PFT), YMnO3 (YM) and YCrO3 (YC), are presented. Three techniques are used: electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR), low-field microwave absorption (LFMA) and magnetically modulated microwave absorption spectroscopy (MAMMAS). These studies are performed in the 77-520 K temperature range. Resonant and non-resonant microwave absorption can distinguish between different dissipative dynamics of microwave absorbing centers; these responses showed distinctive features associated with microwave absorption by magnetic moments and/or electric dipoles, to different temperature ranges. Where these measurements are a manifestation of a similar response to electromagnetic absorption, in which similar physical processes take place.
