Resumen

The technical feasibility was studied of valorising marble working wastes as a raw material in white-firing wall tile manufacture. For this, the calcium carbonate used in these compositions(about 15%)was completely replaced by these wastes. The study shows that the waste only containing calcite does not modify product behaviour or end product properties, whereas the waste containing dolomite slightly modifies tile end properties. These findings indicate that recyclining marble working wastes in the manufacture of white-firing wall tile bodies is technically feasible.
