N2 - This article argues that although the electronic governance has been institutionalized as a public policy that promotes access to information, transparency, and control of public institutions by citizens, that does not necessarily imply that such progress has generated a positive impact in the reduction of corruption and that, consequently, other complementary actions are necessary for the execution of the electronic government public policies.
