N2 - Phase demodulation is an essential image processing stage required by digital fringe projection profilometers. Currently, several approaches for phase demodulation have been proposed. In this work, a set of phase demodulation methods useful for digital fringe projection profilometry is presented. This survey covers fringe pattern normalization, extraction of wrapped phase, and phase unwrapping. Experimental results obtained with a laboratory fringe projection system are presented.
