Resumen

This paper discusses the existence of expressions of efficiency for the known Curzon and Ahlborn cycle from expressions found with various procedures, among which the use of the "componendo and dividendo" rule, in cases of maximum power output and maximum ecological function. The obtained values are compared with the experimental values reported from various energy converting plants, and its use is sought for the analysis of local stability of these thermodynamic systems. Tables of comparative values are included and the basic expressions of the stability analysis are shown. The main objective of this paper is to show that it is possible to study the operation of a heat engine modeled as Curzon and Ahlborn cycle also by the semi-sum of the efficiencies obtained by diverse methods.
