Resumen
Parasitoids are important in the natural control of aphids. However, hyperparasitoids may affect this biological control. We report from Morelos, Mexico Lysiphlebus testaceipes (Cresson), an important parasitoid of the sugarcane aphid, Melanaphis sacchari (Zehntner), in sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench), and three of its hyperparasitoids: Pachyneuron aphidis (Bouché); Alloxysta sp. (Föster), and Syrphophagus aphidivorus (Mayr). From 1,040 mummified aphids, 210 Lysiphlebus testaceipes adults emerged, and 101 Pachyneuron aphidis, 87 Alloxysta sp., and 28 Syrphophagus aphidivorus hyperparasitoids.
