Resumen

The optical absorption in the low frequency range (K < 30 cm^-1) of amorphous polymeric systems, such as amorphous selenium and the polymer polymethylmethacrylate show an acoustic contribution, only observed so far in tetrahedrally amorphous bonded solids.
