Resumen

The Bayes maximum entropy conception of multidimensional spectral analysis of wave fields is developed as applied to the problem of the extended object radio image (RI) formation. The conception matches optimally the statistical Bayes approach with the maximum entropy principle taking into account a priori image information. The procedures developed generalize the known methods of the RI formation, which are based on a spatial filtration of periodograms, and characterize the ways of obtaining suboptimal solutions that can be technically implemented.
