Resumen
To take better advantage of solar energy in buildings or homes, lowlevel and mediumlevel concentration systems arerequired, and the systems should be preferably static. In the present work, three systems with a geometric concentration factor of 4Xare evaluated numerically: two of the CPC type (3DSCPC and 3DCCPC) and one funnelshaped. Their performance as static concentrators throughout the day is analyzed. The Funnel system has the best energy harvesting performance, followed by the 3DCCPCsystem. The best uniformity of radiant energy distribution in the receiver throughout the day was attained by the 3DSCPC system.Of the three, it is the most suitable for photovoltaic applications.
