Resumen

In the present study, the spark plasma sintering technique is used to densify commercial alloy NiCoCrAlYTa. NiCoCrAlYTa powders are sintered at temperatures ranging between 1073°K and 1273°K to yield various microstructures. Full compaction is achieved in a short period of time and the overall processing duration does not exceed 30 min. Microstructure and porosity evaluations were conducted using scanning electron microscopy and chemical analysis. Two phases was identified Beta β and Gamma γ microstructure. Micro Vickers tests were carried out on the sintered specimens, the resultant properties at room temperature are very promising whereas resistance was obtained at 950°C.
