N2 - The fuzzy and directional techniques are connected in novel procedure to suppress an impulsive noise in color images. The main idea of the approach is consists of using together vector directional method and logic fuzzy theory to recognize outliers, borders and fine image details during processing. Numerous simulation results have shown superiority of proposed method, at least in low and middle noise intensity under objective criteria: PSNR, MAE and NCD, as well as in subjective visual quality.
