Resumen

The purpose of this paper is to discuss the main principles used for the design of digital modems for VF channels in the form of specialized processors. The specifications to be satisfied by such a processor are determined, i. e. , the minimum necessary throughput and memory volume. The results of tests on a digital modem operating at a speed of 4800 bits/sec are presented.
