Resumen

Seminario Repensar las Matemáticas (SRM) is a mathematics teacher’s professional development project implemented by the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico, DF). The SRM is an online seminar that discusses several topics of mathematics education research by videoconference and generates a discussion forum. In this paper, it is discussed the session 60th of the SRM, which had as the main topic the integration of technology in mathematics teaching. The article “Students’ functional representations and conceptions in the construction of mathematical concepts. An example: the concept of limit” by Dr. Fernando Hitt was the focal point for the reflection and the discussion of the session. By a discussion forum, in-service teachers and other mathematics researchers discussed the incorporation of technology in the classroom during their teaching practices. This forum may facilitate a linkage between theoretical developments by researchers, and the praxis brought by in-service teachers.
