N2 - This chapter highlights the potential applications of the processes derived from the response of second-, third-, and high-order optical nonlinearities in nanostructures of various geometries and chemical compositions. In addition, a brief synthesis of the remarkable properties, origin of the nonlinear effects, and characteristics of the materials necessary to exhibit nonlinear effects of the different orders are established. Outstanding real applications and their future perspectives are considered.
