An improved SVPWM control scheme for a thirteen-level inverter

Resumen

In this work an improved Space Vector PWM (SVPWM) scheme is proposed for a three-phase thirteen-level inverter. The proposed topology has a reduced number of space vector and redundant switching states, and the space vector PWM scheme presented solve the problem of computational complexity in the control of semiconductor devices. Based on this control strategy, the location of the reference voltage vector can be easily determined and the calculation of active times becomes very simple. In addition, a three-phase thirteen-level inverter using space vector modulation has been modeled and simulated. Simulation results are presented for different operation conditions using MATLAB/Simulink.
