Resumen

This paper proposes a low-cost experimental testing procedure to assess the effectiveness of an upper-limb exoskeleton. The proposed measurement methodology has been specifically designed to evaluate the performance of a passive self-locking magnetic spring exoskeleton that has been designed and built at University of Calabria. The proposed measurement system is based on the use of two commercially available low-cost cameras that allow to identify the moving joints during a holding task. Each of the cameras allows to identify three markers with different colors as attached on the human limb. Additionally, an external force sensor system has been included to determine the effort that a person is generating during a holding task.
