Resumen
The bean is a legume, which in addition to biologically fix nitrogen, in its intensive cultivation, demands important applications of nitrogen fertilization, urea being the fertilizer most used because of its high nitrogen content of 46%, which is supplied to the plants at Through the foliage by its high solubility, which facilitates the optimal handling of the nitrogen. Methylobacterium is a methylotrophic facultative proteobacteria, persistent colonizer of the phylosphere with an important metabolic potential, which has been shown to promote plant development, induce systemic resistance, attenuate plant stress and produce a broad spectrum of phytohormones and enzymes such as urease necessary for the hydrolysis of urea. The main objective of this work was to optimize the foliar absorption of urea nitrogen using different concentrations of urea with M. extorquens and for that the free amino acids and soluble proteins were quantified, testing 5 treatments and a control with M. extorquens and Urea at 3 and 4% individually and combined. The results showed effects statistically differing in the concentration of the free amino acids and soluble proteins content in the combined treatments compared with control and the individual treatments.
