Abstract

This paper presents a methodology for the development of virtual laboratories for training in industrial robotics. The methodology starts with the determination of the technical specifications of the equipment and processes to be virtualized, besides the specific didactic requirements to be implemented within each scenario. The simulation stage includes modeling the dynamic behavior of real physical systems, such as sensors and actuators, which allows the user to not only observe basic concepts related to robotics, but can also develop more practical skills, for example, the instrumentation and control of a robotic systems. The virtualization of a Delta-type robot is presented as a case study to show the application of the proposed methodology.
