Abstract

This study dates two Upper Jurassic transgressive stages containing ammonites found in subsurface samples near the base of sedimentary sequences in northeastern and eastern Mexico (Poza Rica district). These sequences were deposited over redbeds, and metamorphic and intrusive rocks in nearly contiguous areas.
