Abstract

Since the quantum emission/absorption processes might be sharp events, the applicability of the Floquet schemes could be limited. For example, a photon could not detect the underlying periodical structure of the system from which it was emitted. The chances of checking this phenomenon and testing the existence of quantum jumps are discussed.
