Abstract
The arbitrary l-state solutions of the Schrödinger equation with Scarf II potential are presented by taking a new approximate scheme to the centrifugal term. This is realized by expanding the variable around the minimum equilibrium point of the potential. The wave functions can be expressed by hypergeometric functions. It is shown that the calculated energy levels are in good agreement with accurate numerical ones.
