Abstract

Perenniporia tepeitensis (basionym: Coriolus tepeitensis) is showed to belong to Perenniporiella, on the basis of both morphological and molecular data (DNA sequence data from the ribosomal LSU, ITS, and tefl). Hence, the new combination Perenniporiella tepeitensis is proposed. The species is redescribed on the basis of the type specimen and several original collections from eastern Mexico and USA. A key to Perenniporiella is proposed.
