Abstract

In this paper an interpolation method based on (k,n)-threshold secret image sharing (SIS) scheme is proposed, in which the secret data are any binary data, such as images, audio, video, document and even executable files. The proposed scheme uses Lagrange polynomial in the Galois Field GF(28) to encode and decode the secret data in a lossless manner. The shared data are hidden into n camouflage images. In the decoding stage, at least k (≤n) camouflage images are required to reveal the secret data. To increase the payload of the secret data, Lagrange interpolation is solved in an iterative manner under GF(28). The experimental results show a higher payload of the secret data compared to those of other methods previously reported. Also, the quality of the camouflage images is higher than that of the conventional algorithms when the same amount of secret data is shared.
