Abstract

This paper presents the simulation of a three-level and a seven-level active rectifiers controlled with Internal Model Control in order to demonstrate that both can be controlled with this technique and showing the advantages of the seven-level active rectifier over the conventional topologies. The paper also presents the results of a real time emulation of the three-level active rectifier developed in the Typhoon HTL600 Emulator. The modulation technique of the rectifiers is based on Space Vector. The algorithm for modulation and control is developed in a T.L DSP. Steady state and dynamic results are presented along the paper.
