Abstract

By means of the Higuchi's fractal approach, it was found that RR-time series of young healthy individuals have a reasonable monofractal behavior with long-range correlations. This behavior was usually taken as a sign of cardiac health that was gradually lost with aging. This was apparently expressed through the appearance of the crossover phenomena in the RR-time series.
