Abstract

An exact analytic solution to the stationary Schrodinger equation in two dimensions is obtained by applying a factorization ansatz to the eigenfunction. For this purpose, a two-dimensional stationary Schrodinger equation is considered with a potential depending on the distance from the origin. The restrictions on the parameters of the studied potential and the angular momentum quantum number are also presented.
