Abstract

An analytic method to probabilistically predict the electromagnetic coupling in multiconductor transmission lines is described. This method is based on the a priori application of minimum information (maximum entropy method MEM) of the random properties of the geometry of the multi conductor transmission lines and of the excitation signals. This model was used to analyze the electromagnetic coupling a printer circuit board with two microstrip on a ground plane, it is the typical three conductors transmission line. The results show that the proposal gives a good superior limit for the values of the electromagnetic coupling within 3dB.
