Abstract

Parkinson’s disease (PD) is often related to motor symptoms, this neurological disorder involves multiple and complex factors including age, genetics, and dopamine production. These factors leave a trail in substantia nigra (SN), observed as abnormal iron aggregates in ventral midbrain area sections, obtained from adult male Wistar rats. Understanding the iron accumulation process increases the knowledge underlying the neurodegenerative causes. This is achieved by using modern computational tools to directly analyze experimental data. Merging these disciplines creates new areas of study and innovation.
