Abstract
Specific patterns have been found in the relative phases of the amplitudes of various strong-interaction reactions like proton-proton, pion-nucleon, or pion-deuteron scattering. Here we investigate such patterns for the case of d elastic scattering. We show that these phase patterns result essentially from the dominance of the delta resonance.
