Abstract

The grenadier fish Coryphaenoides oreinos is newly reported for Mexican waters, corresponding an adult of unknown sex, which was caught at the ocean surface over very deep water (3045 m), off Manzanillo, Colima (México). It represents the first specimen of this species in a Mexican Ichthyological collection.
