Abstract
We have solved the Faddeev equations for [Formula Presented] elastic scattering using realistic separable interactions for the [Formula Presented] and coupled [Formula Presented]-[Formula Presented] subsystems. We found that including explicitly the pion channel in the integral equations drastically reduces the attraction that is present in the system. As a consequence, the existence of a [Formula Presented] quasibound state is excluded by the modern [Formula Presented] amplitude analysis.
