Abstract
The propagation of the tide harmonics M2, N2, S2, K2,O1 and K1, at Bahía Concepción, is simulated by means of a barotropic numerical model. The equations were integrated through centered finite diferences in space and advanced in time. The model outputs the surface variation of the free surface and the vectorial current distributions. The model predictions were compared qualitative and quantitatively against field measurements of variation of level and current velocity, producing satisfactory results.
