Abstract

The generation of an array of dark solitons stripes in the spatial domain is now a field of research. Theoretically, it can be shown that a transverse field distribution evolves into a periodic array of clean and stable dark soliton stripes. This paper outlines the numerical and experimental studies in this field as well as the results obtained to date.
