Abstract

Applying various mathematical and modeling methods, a tsunami hazard map was made for the coasts of the municipality of Manzanillo in Colima, Mexico; This map is intended to cover the risk of a tsunami produced by hypothetical earthquakes with magnitudes of Mw 6-Mw 9.5 with epicenter at 19.0192 N -104.4504 W. This area has been chosen as it stands out as one of the most historically affected areas by this type of disasters. puts at risk its tourist and habitable zone, which has positioned itself as one of the most important economic zones of the Mexican Pacific.
