Abstract

This paper presents novel fuzzy-directional method in suppression of impulsive noise for multi-channel video sequences. The proposed approach consists of the estimations of movement levels and noise in the neighborhood frames, permitting to preserve the edges, fine details and chromaticity characteristics in multichannel images. New framework has been justified applying commonly used objective criteria, such as Pick Signal Noise Relation (PSNR), Mean Absolute Error (MAE) and Normalized Color Difference (NCD), as well as subjective perception that confirms it excellent performance in comparison with existed approaches known from the literature.
