Fuzzy control applied to insuline infusion pump prototype

Abstract

This work shows the development of an infusion controlled pump to provided insulin for diabetic patients treatment, considering alternative membership functions, these described the concentration state levels for a diabetic pacient with several food ingesta times. The membership functions combination give several cases most of them can be expresed by few rules, these produce a precise supplying insuline action. The insuline concentration evolution shows the controller good performance through the simulation analysis.
