Abstract

The superconducting transition is analyzed by means of finite time thermodynamics andthe so-called method of Carnot cycles. The results found include a generalized Rutgers' relation and β=ΔC/γTc, expressions that cover a wider range of experimentally reported values than do those of classical thermodynamics.
