Abstract

A composite controller is proposed for the dc-to-dc buck converter. The controller developed is intended to be used in high performance applications and yet keeping a simple configuration. It combines the features of the one-cycle, PID, and sliding-mode controllers. Some characteristics provided by these controllers are: the rejection of the source variations on the output voltage, a good dynamic response and the robustness of the sliding mode controller. Furthermore the switching frequency is kept constant.
