Abstract

A model free nonlinear observer based upon algebraic observability condition is used in the fault estimation problem of nonlinear systems. A diagnosis criterion based on the differential transcendence degree of a differential field extension is employed. Two systems with fault presence are analyzed. Faults are estimated with this observer. Some numerical results are shown to illustrate this methodology and finally, some concluding remarks are given.
